A brief History

1979

Founding
Our firm was initially founded by Eddy Nugent, David’s father. The first client he ever had is still a client to this day.
1995
David Qualifies
In 1995, David Nugent qualified as Chartered Certified accountant with the ACCA.

1995
1997
Practicing Certificate
David Nugent obtained his practicing certificate as a registered auditor.
2001
Takeover
When Edward retired, David then took over as Director bringing his expertise as a qualified ACCA member and registered auditor.

2003
Sharon Joins
Sharon Preston, a qualified AAT joins the firm.
2005
First Move
We then moved our premises to Mosley Common Road, near Boothstown. This was a two-story premises and helped to double the size of the firm.

2006
Kelly Joins
Kelly Longfield joined the practice and began studying for the ACCA qualification with our support.
2008
Leanne Joins
Leanne Cowley joined the firm and started working towards her AAT qualification due the significant increase in client numbers.

2011
Promotion
Kelly left the firm and Sharon became full time office manager.
2015
Alex Joins
Alex Brown joins the firm whilst at University and starts to work towards finishing his degree and then onto the ACCA qualification.

2015
2016
Shadab & Kelly
Shadab Iqbal joins the firm midway through her ACCA qualification on a temporary basis. Kelly also rejoins the company.
2017
Shadab Stays
Shadab becomes a permanent employee and continues to work towards her ACCA qualification.

2018
Sharon Leaves
Sharon left the firm to work for her husband after 15 years of loyal service.
2018
Second Move
We recently moved to our new and improved office space in Swinton

10 years service
Leanne receives her 10 year service award
2019
Alex Qualifies
Alex completed his final exam and became ACCA qualified.

2019
2019
Shadab finishes exams
Shadab passes her final exam and is now waiting on her 3 years experience in order to become ACCA qualified.
